FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Kathryn “Kaye”
Albino-Tejeda

Ballet • Pointe • Artistic Direction

Kathryn Albino-Tejeda—known to her students as Mrs. Kathryn—began ballet at age three through what she fondly describes as a happy accident. She trained in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, becoming the youngest dancer in her program to receive high honors on the Pre-Primary examination, before transitioning to the Vaganova method at the Russian Academy of Ballet under Ballet Master Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler, both former principal dancers with the Kyiv National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

At age 12, Kathryn was selected for a cultural exchange program with the Terada Ballet Art School in Japan. At 16, she became the youngest soloist to join Ballet Fedotov’s South American tour of Cinderella. She also performed alongside principal dancers and soloists from American Ballet Theatre, Orlando Ballet, Corella Ballet, and other renowned companies. Her repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, Don Quixote, Raymonda, and Giselle.

In addition to her work in dance, Kathryn brings professional experience in training, leadership development, and team management—skills that continue to shape her approach to teaching, mentorship, and studio leadership.

As Founder and Artistic Director of En Pointe Performing Arts, Kathryn emphasizes strong technical foundations, expressive artistry, and thoughtful mentorship. She is passionate about helping dancers develop confidence, discipline, and a lasting connection to dance—both on and off the stage.

Meg Alvarez

Contemporary • Jazz • Lyrical • Musical Theatre

REHEARSAL DIRECTOR & FACULTY

Megan “Meg” Alvarez began dancing at age five at Pavilion Dance Center, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, lyrical, tap funk, and acrodance while also serving as a teaching assistant. At Elk Grove High School, she competed with the Poms program and served as Rehearsal Director and Vice President of Orchesis. She also performed with the theatre and choir programs as an actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer.

Meg earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Hope College in 2017 and continued her dance education through the Hope College Dance Department. Since graduating, she has taught students ranging from age three through adulthood across a variety of dance styles. She also continues to perform as a proud member of Outlet Dance Company, where she has danced for the past eight years.

Meg believes that technique provides a dancer’s foundation, but meaningful movement comes from connecting that technique to the music, emotion, and individual artistry. She is passionate about encouraging her students, helping them build confidence, and guiding each dancer toward discovering a genuine love for movement. Meg is thrilled to be part of the En Pointe Performing Arts faculty.

Becca Bremer

Jazz • Contemporary • Performance Lab

Becca Bremer—known to her students as Ms. Becca—began dancing at age two. At Maine West High School, she performed with Orchesis and Poms while continuing her training with two companies at Bataille Academie of the Danse. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Hope College in 2017.

Becca’s performance and choreography experience has taken her from Strike Time Dance Company to Paris, where she choreographed, and to Outlet Dance Company, where she danced for eight seasons. Over the past ten years, she has taught dancers of all ages and skill levels. Although she enjoys every genre, jazz, contemporary, and tap hold a special place in her teaching.

At En Pointe Performing Arts, Becca teaches Jazz Technique, Contemporary, and Performance Lab and helps lead ensemble rehearsals. She looks forward to getting to know her students and inspiring the next generation of dancers through movement, creativity, and performance.
